Infinico Metals Corp. Granted Extension to its Option Agreement on the Dalhousie Project and Announces Resignation of Director
Published Apr 9, 2024
The Dalhousie property is located within the mafic-ultramafic package of the Bell River complex. It is located on the north-central margin of the Abitibi orogenic belt in proximity to the Matagami mining camp. Recent field mapping on the property has identified the presence of a lithium bearing pegmatite with lithium grades up to 4.45% Li2O. This is the first time lithium has been recognised not the property. Along with the lithium mineralization, numerous cobalt rich magmatic sulphide showings are present across the property, hosted in bands of pyroxenite rock. Many of the showings remain untested through drilling, despite surface sampling and historic trenching identifying grades of up to 1.11% Ni, 3.79% Cu & 0.28% Co. Historic geophysical surveys have also identified conductive features coincident with outcropping mineralization
The Dalhousie Project is located 53 km ESE of the town of Matagami, and 3 hours drive off the mining hub of Val-d’Or. The project is fully accessible by road with near by infrastructure, rail tracks, and power supplies
